I was assigned Jay Gatsby as my character to write about in my 5 paragraph essay. I wrote a thesis statement in class. and i provided information on how Jay Gatsby was born in a low income family,now he try’s to appear rich thru his new lifestyle and when Gatsby died after chasing his life long goal, even after his struggle he ends up with only one person who truly cared, who is not one of his rich friends.As a result Gatsby represents how new money doesn’t matter to old money.Dan Cody inspired him to become rich and powerful.
